Vekurinveranta

The cabin has a kitchen-living room and bedroom for two downstairs. The kitchen-living room has a view toward Vekurijärvi and a large terrace and roofed porch. Upstairs, you’ll find four beds and two mattress beds, with access to the balcony, a perfect place to enjoy the morning sun. A smaller cottage with a sofa bed for two is located in the yard. Additional guests can be accommodated in the kitchen-living room’s sofa bed for two.

The lake is 30 m downhill from the main building and next to the wood-burning lakeside sauna. The rocks and jetty on the shore are excellent spots for sunbathing or enjoying the sunset. The shallow waters on the shore are a safe choice for children, while adults may enjoy a swim off the jetty. If you wish to light a fire, you’ll find a safe spot on the shore.

Nearby woods are ideal for nature walks or picking berries and mushrooms, while the clean waters of Vekurijärvi provide a great opportunity for fishing.

Halli is the closest town, located approximately 12km from Lammassaari. There you’ll find a store with postal services, a pharmacy, a hairdresser’s, a florist’s, a health centre, an automated petrol station, a cash machine and a restaurant.

Also see local events and locations, like Mänttä Art Festival and Serlachius Museums in Mänttä as well as the Iskelmä festival at Himos, near Jämsä. For a more metropolitan experience, Tampere and Jyväskylä are easily reached, with the entirety of the Pirkanmaa and Central Finland regions around you.
